When most people think about Niagara, their first thought is surely  the “Niagara Falls” But there is much more to the Niagara Region than most people know about.It’s filled with lush farm land, wonderful wineries and historical landmarks, as well as beautiful beaches and world-class golf courses.

There are many different types of activities that travellers and visitors can enjoy day-to-day. Port Dalhousie, Port Colborne and Fort Erie have been known for their beautiful beaches, cottage-like atmosphere, and wonderful patio restaurants. While Queenston and Niagara-on-the-Lake offer wonderful historical tours. But nothing compares to the natural beauty which is Niagara Falls. After all, Niagara Falls is known as one of the Natural Wonders of the World.

Winter time in the Niagara region can be just as fun! Of course kicking off the year with the biggest NYE party in the province down by the Falls is an event that should not be missed. The wineries do a wonderful job celebrating our delicious ice wine with the Ice Wine Festival and many other cool events going on to keep wine country in your mind even on the coldest day. Throughout the region, there is sledding, Santa Claus parades, ice skating and lots of warm indoor events too! Keep Niagara in mind for your winter travel plans!
